I was browsing the TPWD site and found a link to a place called "Twin Lakes" off of 635. Anyone ever been out there? Any luck? Looks like most of the stocking have been catfish.

I've never been there or heard of it. Let us know if you check it out and how it goes.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

went out there today around 2. bought some nightcrawlers from wally world. So i get there and there were tons of kids all over the place. Some of'em were chasing the ducks and geese all over the place, which didnt help matters at all. So i figure, what the hell,i'm here...might as well give it a shot. Rigged up my rod and reel, get down to a good spot, lifted the lid off of the worms.....and whaddya know....every last one of'em are dead. Needless to say, I was pissed. I didnt really feel like fishing for anything other than catfish, because according to the TPWD sit, thats pretty much all they stocked.

After all that, I cruised back to wal-mart and exchanged the worms. I wasn't gonna go all the way back to that crappy pond.....So, I hit up the place zeeter was telling me about (preston and tennyson). Fished there for about 1 hr with the nightcrawlers with no luck. Tied on a few different bass/crappie baits. No luck with them either. Starting to think there is nothing in that place.

Mdevine, man thats not good. If you dont think there's any there then don't fish it! But you gotta realize you went on a day that was right after snow, rain and wind....not to mention 25 degree weather. If I'm going by not catching any as thinking that there nothing there, man than more than once I would have said there aint @@@@ in Fork (the best lake anywhere).

Just ask on here how many people fished all over on Sat and how they did....probably not that good anywhere.

JC Tourney on Fork- only 3 limits out of everyone.

Basschamps Twok- 150 approx teams only 89 teams caught fish and only two limits.

So before you start saying that you think there aint fish in a pond that I go out of my way to help you out with.....man take a step back and look at the big picture.

Muddy, cold, flowing water = probably not a good day!

I agree with Zeeter. Dont't let this weekend bring you down. The weather made it tough for everyone. Our club tourney at Ray Roberts only had one limit. I managed to pull in two. There were plenty of people all over north Texas that didn't catch anything. Warm weather will be here soon. The tanks will warm quick and you'll start slaughtering them.
