Beth and I hit the Upper Laguna Madre this past weekend. Fishing was hit or miss and we had to work the water to find the fish. Boat Hole on Saturday and Deadmans Hole on Monday. I found the pattern Saturday (spoons) and Beth found the pattern Monday (Red Mirolure with red trebles). We ended up with roughly 15 trout and had enough for a fish fry. ·.. ><((((º>¸¸.·´¯`·...¸><((((º> (Message edited by atthewall on March 28, 2008) |

Nice job Rob. It's been too long since I've eaten specs. I need to make a trip to the coast again. If you're richer than me I think we're related. If you're poorer than me I know we're related. My bass club webpage http://texbass.8m.com/

Great stuff Rob... May not have been a limit but it was plenty of fish to keep you busy and make a fish fry... Excellent photos brother! Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Rob, have you tried the original Corky lures of B and L MFG? It is a company out of Houston. That lure has caught a lot of trophy trout in Texas. I believe the current state record was caught on one. I got turned onto the lure when I was living in Alabama. I personally have caught some really nice trout using them. You have to have the patience of Jobe when working them. It is a suspending bait and best worked slow. They have different colors and styles. There is the original and devil. You can find them on the web. I laughed about getting out fished. The ladies have a good habit of putting it to us! Great fish. I especially like your Guadalupe postings. |

That is a lot of trout for Texas! Only have 110 more to go to equal my weekend catch. Good times looked like they were had Rob. Quit being a mad, little bald man!
