I finally fished another club tournament after missing the last 6. We fish Lake X on the 24th and I managed to squeek out a victory with 4 fish at 13.45lbs. Second place was 13.40 so I was very fortunate/lucky.

I say lucky because I caught a 4.5 lb fish with 15 minutes left in the tournament. I started to fall down in the boat and start hollering NEVER SAY DIE! but there were no cameras around so I figured what's the use.:-)

The lake was really tough. The fish didn't seem to be commited to any certain pattern. Bites were real light and hard to detect. I caught all my keepers in the reeds but I was the only one. Everyone else was saying there were no fish in the reeds.

Fishing should only get better with the warmer water and stable lake level. Will try to get back over there as soon as possible.

Fished the Two Of Us Couples tournament today.
I started the morning with a 4lb fish. After 30 minutes fish #2 was 14 inches. I caught #3, a 3lber about 10:00am. That was it until after lunch.

After lunch #4 bit, she weighed 5.99. We moved about 10 feet and found #5. My wife boated her.
She weighed in at 4.9. We moved another 10 feet and started culling. I boated #6, a 2lb fish.

We finished the day with a 20lb sack, big bass and 1st place.
