Well we finaly made it back out to the lake and the water has warmed up into the mid 60's. After watching the weather it was clear that the conditions were less than ideal but with the schedual I have with my up comming marriage I knew this would be my only chance to hit the water till after July so I was bound and determined to make the most of it. The day started out pretty quick with a nice little 1 1/2 lber early halfway back in Gobbler.  Then the wind kicked up and things got tough. We ran around and hit several of our usual spots and picked up a couple small fish but couldn't get anything consistent. Finaly in an attempt to get out of the wind and find some calmer water we ran up river and found a nice flat in some more stained calm water and started hammering small fish up to about 2 1/2 lbs on some 6 inch texas rigged watermelon candy worms slowly swimming them just off bottom.  Just before calling it a day we worked one last stretch of that bank and I picked up a nice 3lb 8 oz bass off a white spinner bait.  All in all it was a good day for the conditions we caught about 18 bass total now to find the big fish. | ||||||||||||

Great job on getting out there and catching some fish. Sounds like a ya'll had some fun and good job on finding the fish. Congrats on getting married also... Thanks for the recap and the pictures, I enjoyed it.  Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish
