Well TFN’ers we made it back from another great trip to Anglers Inn on Lake El Salto Mexico...
Michele and I had a great tine relaxing and catching fish. Michele fished a few times but I never missed a chance at a big fish. I topped the trip with 7.10oz crankbait fish and Michele with a solid 6 on a C-Rig. Fishing was slow in El Salto terms with numbers in the 40's every day. I did get a very good Spinnerbait bites that ended up destroying two spinner baits. Top water was fair on spro frog which were tore up pretty bad by those bad boys. I did manage 2-3 five pounders a day and several 4’s. Once again these Mexican fish are power house fish I’ll tell you!! Anyone wanting to make a trip there give me a call or drop a note and I can fill you in on the details…Fall fishing will be excellent this year!!

Jolly good show. Are you two going fishing with the poor folks this weekend at Palestine?

I like the Hillbilly look OZ... I'm that way too.. With a name like Billy Joe how else could I be....

Toads... y'all got on some Toads.. Was that the first time for Michele fishing in Mexico...?

Great pictures, it looks relaxing no doubt.
I could use some of that myself.. I guess the summer (july, august) is not the best time to go down.. HUH !!! How about the fall?

I think I'll be heading back in November...This will be after the rains and the lake should fill back up. It's really low right now, maybe 60ft low. July is the rainy season so it rains alot and it's hot but it just like here in July!!
I'm going to try some of the techniques I used there at Fork. I’ve really never fished very deep out there so I’m ready try it this year. I did have great success with a spinnerbait deep in the tree’s just slowly lowering it down…The blade barely moving and they would thump that sucker about 15ft down!! That was fun.
