My birthday present was a new 997cSI combo.. I'm all jacked up.. But, I still want too keep my X15 lowrance down shooter too. The only thing wrong with it is my back light, it's OUT and no one will work on it... Geeeezzzz, it's only 4-yrs old. About half the screws in the back have vibrated out and let some water in, and now it won't light up.. “Useless” at night for navigation.. I'd like to keep both, but it may not be possible not enough room on the side dash is what I'm thinking.. (the boats at fork and I'm in Arlington) no way to gauge it from here. Does anyone know if you can jury rig both on the side dash without it looking like a video store display.... 04 Skeeter ZX225 Today I bought the BIG ram mount, I'll give it a look Friday night too see it looks stupid or just too busy.. Both units are pretty big.. Any advise would be appreciated, I’m not sure I want this SI unit as my stand alone at the helm with me not knowing it at all…. Thanks Billy (Message edited by RedSkeeter on June 3, 2008) |

Man your going to love the SI!!! I just got the 797SI about a week ago. I spend more time puttering around looking at the SI then I do fishing now. There are a couple things that I'm not thrilled about. But to see the pictures it does give, I'm extremely happy with the unit. Shaun I can do everything through him who gives me strength. Phil 4:13

I have installed aabout 15 of the SI units and you will love it. Keep in mind the tranducer is not a high speed tranducer so you will not be able to use it once your on plane... The unit is pretty easy to figure out... It has hot buttons on it so you can move quickly to your favorites. You can run both together but I wouldnt put the pucks to close together. If you have a Jack plate I would mount the tranducer on it... You can also buy a high speed tranducer and epoxy it inside the hull. If you do that then you can also get the A/B switch that hummingbird offers so you can switch between the 2... alot of people are using the flashers for depth on plane or keeping thier old Lowrance in place to use while on plane... Let me know if I can be of any help.. get my number from any of these goofs on here if you need to call. |

June 17-th, Kay's is the 15-th, it's The big five-O for me. OUCH...... That's gonna hurt.. Thanks H*08, The jack plate on my boat has a pre-drilled hole on the bottom and will work prefect (I hope) the guys at Fun&Sun gave me pointers on how to install the unit the easy way.. I do have a dash mounted flasher I had forgot about, until you mentioned it.. |

After that schedule Kay is 1 smart Lady! Now we know why you got the SI. She needs more Cover shots for the PROMO's. Any bets which way the Screen faces? BTY. Billy I hit that mark in October Happy B-DAY |
