Has anyone heard from Tom? I read about his fall on here and called him last night. His son Tommy answered his cell and they were at the hospital. The Dr.'s had Tom knocked out because he was in such pain. I have tried his home and cell tonight and reached VM on both. I hope all is well with him and my prayers are for him and his family. I hope I am not just being paranoid, but want to know if any of you guys have heard from him.

I have not heard anything but prayers going up that he is ok and will heal quickly. I had no idea it was that bad and will let you know if I hear anything. Please do the same....
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Things weren’t too bad until I went to work Tuesday with Tommy and I tried to see what I could do. About 2 minutes into testing myself and Tommy was loading the truck up and we were headed to the ER. I felt something crack or pop and then I could hardly move at all. Thought it best at that point to get an x-ray.
I just spent the last 36 hours on my back taking pain medication every 2 hours. I am thinking that the road to recovery has been located. All I have is a cracked rib, chest contusion and I think (IMO), a pinched nerve or tendon. The latter has been a butt kicker.
Thank you all VERY much for the prayers. I would prolly still be on my back without them.
The doc said I am going to be on the IR for 4-6 weeks.
Thanking the Lord, all day long

I've always thought cracked ribs hurt and took longer to heal than broken ribs. Glad hear it wasn't anything more serious Tom.

Thanks again you all for the thoughts and prayers.
I made it 24 hours with no pills. Had to hit the bottle about 4am this morning. I am down to my last 2, so the wife talked me into doing a follow up with the doc.
I am planning on starting work again on Monday, but not allowed to have anything in my hands but a cup of coffee.
Thanking the Lord, all day long

I am doing better. It has been driving me nuts not being able to do anything. I did volunteer at the PVA event this weekend at Bass Pro. At least got me out of the house.
I am heading out to do some work today and I have someone there to do the work. I just gotta keep from putting any tools in my hands.
Thanking the Lord, all day long
