Ok,
The last time I asked for advice on a local lake ya'll did me good. :-)
So I'm asking one more time. I have a tourney coming up this weekend on Amon G Carter. I know nothing except from what I've read on the TPWD website. I understand there's two lakes, A older one and a newer one. I guess I'll spend most of my time on the newer side. They say that the larger Bass are there.
But other then that I'm sure could use some help...........
Thanks
Shaun

They used to call the new side the Jungle..
The water, last time I was there, was real clear in the jungle, and MUDDY as heck on the old side.

For a quick fix early fish the cut between the two sides, always some fish there...
I didn't have a depth finder when I was there and I was in some else's boat, other than that..

Your on your own, Good Luck.

Old side = boat docks
New side is tougher to fish due to wood.

Redskeeter is correct, fish the new side of the cut 1st, in the new lake there is a hump about 50 yards from the tube on the north side that usually holds fish in the summertime.

Run the tube if you get a chance.....hehe...
there are numerous humps in the new lake that can be great at times.. the new lake also has alot of rock piles on it... the old side is just typical dock fishing... I dont remember there being any grass there...

Looks like another 15+ hour day at work for me on Saturday :-(:-(.
I'll have to catch up on my sleep Sunday morn' on the drive to the lake.
Thanks again

Well we didn't win the big one. Saturday turned out to be a 19 hour day. I got home at 2am in the morn and had my partner pick me up at 4am.Man was I tired!!!!
But we did get to weigh in a few fish. Thanks again for all the help. This was the first tourney that we actually took time to weigh in.I'm getting a little better, but slowly.
Man we have some good fisherman in our bass club :-(.
