if you guys remember, i was going to take Dillon on a guided trip to Fork. We went with Rick Carter. The guy is very nice and knows what he is doing. Has a heck of a boat also. weather was great that morning. overcast, slight breeze. we were filled with anticipation, knowing we were going to catch some biguns! Started off trying to catch some topwater but nothing was interested. started throwing dd22's and dillon hooked a 4lb'er but didn't get him in the boat. he later boated some dinks, then a 3 and a 4lb'er from the same spot. me, nothing! went to a wacky rig. dillon again got a few dinks. me, a 5" bass! moved to a main lake hump. dillon, a 4, 5 and 6lb'er! me, nothing! The whole trip was for him but i'm getting concerned at this point that i'm going to get whipped. moved to a bridge and i finally get 3 in the boat. moved to another hump and i start catching up throwing c-rig ring fry. broke for lunch and to cool off. very hot! finished the afternoon with a few small ones. rick caught several, biggest was a 5. Had a heck of a trip and will use rick if we use a guide again. here are a few pics.

I straightened out the pics for you Robert.

Dillon looks like he had a great time out there and those are some healthy looking fish. Rick told me he had a great time fishing with ya'll.

I'm glad it worked out and ya'll were able to catch some fish. I bet Dillon was happy to be putting the smack down on Dad... :-)

Thanks for the pics and sharing the recap. Ya'll have been doing well lately on the bass scene -- keep it up...
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Congrats Dad... Great job.. The future of this sport is in our kids and grand kids.. I'm sure you two had a great time with Rick.
Congrats again, and thanks for sharing.

i didn't know they were messed up, but thanks for fixing them Mike. yeah, he didn't talk too much smack because he didn't know Rick that well. if it had just been the two of us, i would have been in for it.

It was just they were on the same line so I put them under each other. No big deal.

How many times did Rick act like he lost one at the boat by thrashing his rod tip in the water? :-)

Very nice. I need to make sure the club doesn't vote in Fork for any upcoming tournaments. Tell Dillon congrats on some nice fish.
