How did y'all do this weekend ?

Zach, I heard you two made the cut in the Axton's tournament.. Outstanding.. I enjoyed fishing near you and your partner Saturday, that was fun..

We took 4-th in the JCO...
5-th in the M.O.D.
Shoulda had second, but I culled the wrong fish and it cost me $1100.00 dollars. A very expensive lesson, that won't happen again.
Oh yeah, almost forgot. I broke my left "big toe" diving after a rod, the meanest fish in Fork jerked out of my hands..

I'm sure the boats near by had a hell of a good laugh... It had to be funny to see.
Me dangling off the side of the boat with Kay a hold of my britches by the butt dragging me back aboard...

Whats up Billy,

yeah man we ended up getting 7th on Saturday and making the top 15. Sunday came and we felt like we should do pretty good, but man it was tough.

Started out in the same spot in the rain and boated 7 boom boom boom then it shut off there big time and sucked. All in all was a good time and pretty different with another guy just chilling in the boat watching everything you do. We ended up with 25 lbs with only 9 fish on Sunday but wasn't enough to beat a team that came in with 88lbs with only 30 fish. UNBELIEVABLE. Fished deep all day Sunday and just never found the right schools of fish. Weather must of screwed them up cause the other guys that went deep said it wasn't worth a d@@@.

It was awesome on Saturday watching you and Kay catch all those fish. You guys are a class act. Nice when you have company around to shoot the @@@@ with. After you left was pretty slow I think we caught only 4 more.

Why couldn't you have done that on Sat....I would love to have seen that. hehehehehe:-) I told you that you were getting old......already breaking bones.

Oz.... Sounds good.. We'll be down Thursday night after 6:00 prolly...
5-th paid 400.00 bucks; not great, but it covered the expenses.

Zach...

Sunday was scary, at one point in the morning around 9:00 am Kay says, BILLY LOOK AT MY LINE !!!

She had just cast out and her line was floating in the air !!! Arched up as high as 16 feet maybe more, and it kept rising. Of course I panic !!!

Get down and drop that rod I yelled, she and I both got as low in the boat as we could and I fired up the big motor and idled out away from that spot 200 yards and just sat there for 10-12
mins.. Nothing happened THANK the LORD.. Very scary..

Other than that, and the toe we had a great day.
Not positive about total weight but we caught 40-45 fish with the best being 8+ 7+ and some 6's with smaller fish 3-4 lbs coming every now and then.. We were in plain site of the Dam all day.
Stayed near the Truck and fished down south..

Our starting spot on Sunday was our ending spot on Saturday.. We felt pretty good about it and that paid off..
Dude I wouldn't wish this toe thing on any body,
it's hell running the trolling motor.

Billy, sorry to hear about the toe buddy -- sounds like it hurts. Next time, just haul off and jump full in after that rod. :-)

Congrats on the double checks to ya'll and I'm looking forward to our next Media event -- other than the heat.

The line floating in the air is some scary stuff and I would have probably went into panic mode also. Glad nothing came of it.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

I had the line floating in the air panic about 10 yrs ago. Freaky stuff and a big bolt of lightening about 3-5 minutes as I was running out of there. Glad to hear everything went well.

I ran a charter Sat morning for two Houston Tx residents and limited on reds with little issue. Very easy day. Friend and I went speckle trout fishing for fun Sunday. Never got on any big piles of fish but picked at them for a while. Lots of small trout.

Sorry to hear about the toe. That sounds like pain!!

This last Saturday, as I was making a cast and hooked on to my new rod/reel combo laying in the boat behind me.I launched it!! :-(.

Luckly it only went out to the side of the boat.I dove in to the water, and about six foot later I came back up with my new rod :-)
I caught my side on the windshield on the way out and made a pretty nasty skin graph.

That's the first time I was happy to have such clear water!!! I got lucky...........

Fishing IS a contact sport.....

I look like I've been in a cat fight, scratches and scrapes.... What we do for the love of the sport...

To add insult too injury, I found out the rig
will float.. It's so lite, the cork will keep it up.. Man, what a duffus..

Billy and Kay,
Congrats on the finishes this past weekend. You and Kay do an outstanding job week in and week out and represent our sport in fine fashion. Real sorry to hear about the injury. That sounds like a painful one. I hope you heal up quickly.
Thanking the Lord, all day long
