Man what happen this weekend? I just heard that like 6 people drowned at four different local lakes.:-(
It looks like most were just simple swiming accidents, and not boat related.
I saw a lot of stupid boating this weekend while I was out fishing.

Be careful out there! I know I don't keep my jacket on as much as I should.
I need to get one of those new inflatable jackets that would allow me keep it on more of the time.
I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

I hope they interview the guy from Lake Grapevine that jumped from the party barge and did not come back up. They found him and got his pulse back.

I want to know what is it that happens to a perfectly capable swimmer the make them drown.

For years I would just jump off the boat into the lake with no jacket and never thought twice about it. Now I am scared to get in the lake without my life jacket because what I hear on the news is "He was a good swimmer!"

There has got to be something that causes these people to drown on the lake. Does someone go under water, have a fish hit their leg or something and they gasp in fear taking in water into their lungs? Do they go to deep and loose direction in the murky water then panic?

I continue to search for some logical explaination as to why so many apparent "accomplished" swimmers die in the lake every year.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

I wonder if alochol was involved. That can make a good swimmer a bad one.
There was also a 22 year old that lost a leg in a jet ski accident at Tawakoni. Crashed into his buddy, almost bled to death before they got him to the hospital.

Terrible weekend. It was freaking me out every time I saw the news. Tragic.
I thought twice about going out Saturday with the boys. We catfished T-wok, but the traffic was not that bad at all on the south end.
Thanking the Lord, all day long
