I want to thank Picou for letting me post this over here. I copied this from a post on Texasrodbenders.com

quote:

Captain Danny Neu, Co-Owner of Laguna Rods, took a serious fall this past weekend in Port Mansfield. He was stepping from his boat to the bulkhead and somehow ended up falling between the boat and bulkhead, hitting his chin on the bulkhead on his way down. Fortunately, he never lost conciousness and pulled himself from the water before he drowned. His Jaw is broken and most of his teeth shattered. Danny has no Health Insurance and will rack up some serious bills. Trouthunter has proposed putting together a Silent On-Line Auction of donated Fishing/Hunting trips and other items. All proceeds will go to help cover Danny's expenses.

David Sheetz one of the founding fathers of www.texasrodbenders.com is holding a virtual tournament for Fresh and Salt water fisherman with 1 prize. Here are the rules copied from the website.

quote:

Here it is fella's

THE RULES
1. $35 to enter
2. Fish anywhere you want (even in that nasty ol freshwater MATT!!!)
3. Timing is October 1-31
4. Submission will be stories complete with photo's. We will have a seperate thread just for submissions.
5. First prize will be a Laguna Texas Wader complete with a Shimano Curado.
6. Other prizes will be custom TRB Columbia shirts.
7. Submissions will be judged here in the open on TRB.

I know we are still a growing site here and so is rodbenders. I also know what we as bowhunters did for the Levi Bauer benefit. If you can, please help us get this man as much help as possible.

I signed up too. May not fish either but I am sure I can come up with something to make it entertaining. :-)

There are some nice bid items for the benefit. The custom rod is being built by me, if you'd be interested in this or any other items go bid. BTW I'm leading the bidding on the Galveston fishing trip. If anyone would be interested in joining me, let me know. Either post here or send me an e-mail.

Barnacle I bid on that Galveston trip also. I might be interested in going with you too. It would just depend on when you went and my job situation when you went.

No Problemo. Like I said it will probably just depend on my job situation about the fishing trip. So if you get someone who can definetly commit go for it.

Ok folks,,, I also offered to send a container of my "special blend" Barnacle Dust to anyone who would donate $10.00 to the fund to help Danny.... It's a seasoning that I mix myself,,, goes well with beef, pork, chicken and especially fish and venison.. hope to see some donations over there for Danny,,,
