I don't know what team played this morning but it wasn't the team I followed down here to the state tournament. Throwing the ball around cost them that game and we were thrust into the losers bracket during game 2. We lost that game 9 - 2 and I promise only 2 of their runs were earned. All others were scored when the Fannin team would cave to the agressive base running and make a bad throw. Aggressive base running is a strategy and it worked against our girls. Well, we moved into the losers bracket and played our 3rd game this afternoon at 6:00pm. This time the girls brought their game with them and proved inning by inning that they deserved another game. We defeated the host team of Dayton with a score of 9 - 6 in 4.5 innings and will move on to the next game at 9:00am Sunday morning. I'm proud of our girls for battling it out, keeping their heads up and playing with all of their heart. Here are a few shots from the game this afternoon:
