finally fished another tournament with the texbass club. this one was a night tourny, last night in fact. took my son dillon to let him experience a night fishing trip. he hasn't really wanted to in the past. time to brag a little. 1st half of the night was great! my son had 1 keeper and i had a 5 fish limit of almost 15lbs with a 5.90 kicker!! best night i've ever had on texoma!!! i'm thinking, i've got a real chance to win this thing. wrong!!!! spent the 2nd half of the night fishing my butt off and only dinks!?!?! just goes to show ya, don't count your chickens before they are hatched. i jinxed myself!!!!! Still had a great time with the kiddo though. oh yeah, he slept in the boat from 2:30-6:30 :-).... and no pics to top it off !

I fished Texoma at the same time you were out there I guess. I fished the Gainesville bass club tourney Friday night in to Sat morn'8pm-8am. We caught a couple 2+. But mostly just dinks.Oh I woke up at 3am with a rod in my hand ,and a worm on the bottom. :-)Not sure, But I think it was a 15 minute cast. LOL....
Man.........what a LONG night :-(.
I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

i hate we didn't get a chance to meet up, didn't know gainesville was going to be there until we launched. my roughest time was between 3 and 5. sat down in the boat at one point and just dozed.

Close to 15-lbs is very good, congrats on that fur-sur. How Old is Dillon? I bet he had a blast being out with Dad doing Big Boy stuff..

Last night was wonderful, we hung out with some friends on Lake Granbury. The moon was bright
the wind was kind of calm, and the temps were just right for a midnight swim.

We got back home in Arlington around 1:30 am, I stood outside before retiring for the evening just looking around, and thought about how it would be a good night to fish, even for a night blind guy like me...( that doesn’t happen much)

Life is made up of moments, you guys had one last night no doubt..

You made a strong standing Robert, congrats on the kicker fish and doing well. One of these nights I want to try fishing Texoma. It might be too far of a drive for me to make it home though... :-)
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish
