Besides melting on the main lake this time of year.. Whatz your fall back pattern.. Early out and early in, or do you just retreat to the nocturnal????? Inquiring minds want to know??????????????? We usually fish one day REAL early, then retreat to a “Massively A/C ‘d Area” later in the day. The next day(usually Sunday) we go out later in the morning,(can’t get up at 5:00 am. every day) and fish the shade until it becomes to unbearable; and then again, we retreat to the “Massively over killed A/C area” to wait out the evening, with some adult beverages very near by for good measure… Why is every thing in Texas to the EXTREME !!!! Native born and Native proud.. But Gezzz, it’s hot. 102 and 103 is tough stuff for any one… Hot but still Good…… Billy KBD Fishing

"Guy's it's Freak'n HOT" I hear ya on that one...Sunday on the lake was brutal. I was drinking water like crazy but still was over heating. Went to the bridge to get some relief and ended up culling a fish...Check it out, I was catching fish in 1ft of water on Cypress this weekend in 100' temps. I would have sworn it was spring if I wasn't sweating to death. Poor Michele had to leave early both days it was too much...Ended up with 21lbs for the weekend. I'll be thinking about ya'll while I am in Galveston with the family. They are forcasting the highest temperature to be 92 degrees all next week.... I'll be checking in because the house we are renting has wireless so be looking for all of the pictures of the salty fish that I plan on catching. I am oh so ready for this vacation. Work has had me swamped the last 3 weeks and last night I worked till 10:00pm. The story of my life is putting out fires there and a week away from it will be really nice. Ya'll enjoy this North Texas heat and I will be thinking about ya'll while sitting on the beach with a cold beer in one hand and the rod cast into the surf in the other looking for ol' sharp tooth. Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Tommy and I have been doing tree service 4 days a week. You talk about smokin' out there. Whewwwwww... On my days off, I can't even get out in the sun if we work too long the day before. We been getting out at 7:30 and trying to be home by 2:30 to avoid heatstroke. Anyways, I have fished a few days this month and we have been going early and getting off the water anywhere from 2-5pm. Every day I have fished there has been some clouds here and there and that has made a huge difference. Have caught good numbers, but not many quality fish on Fork and Twok. Thanking the Lord, all day long --- tomc

Sorry I missed the extreme heat wave the past week. B and I just got back from Riviera Maya yesterday. The heat was almost offensive when we walked out of the terminal yesterday. Taking today off to recover and do laundry then back to the chainsaws. Looks like it should be down to 100 for a high Tuesday. I hope to hit Fork late in the week or this weekend...... I bet the water is close to 100 in the afternoons. Thanking the Lord, all day long --- tomc

When we left Galveston at noon on Sunday it was 88 degrees with a nice Gulf breeze. Rolled into Dallas around 6:30PM and it was a stifling 107 degrees -- welcome home... It was downright chilly when you were wet and in the shade down there. Heck, even wade fishing was cool. Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

I forgot to mention all the fresh flounder I got giggin and the redfish while wading the bay... boiled crabs... Had a great time and will get some pictures and a recap up soon. We did not have internet access at the beach house so I was pretty lax about the pictures. Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

You did not have anyone to peel for you so I doubt you ate any crabs. Quit being a mad, little bald man!

Connie did all the peelin... I did not shell a single crab... Heck, they only caught 8 keepers so all of the crab meat was used for stuffing and a few crab cakes. None the less, I did not peel any of them... Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish
