Anyone have any tips on Texoma right now. I have a club event there on Sunday and have only been on the lake bass fishing 1 time.

General information will do, best colors or areas would be appreciated.

Up Washita(s/p) theres a cove named Alberta N/W side of that arm. It has a Marina, and you can eat sump'n if needed...
Lots of fingers in there with good points and humps. It has a LONG no wake zone, but it's well worth the idle time..

Just north of Alberta there is a R/R bridge, we caught a lot of fish on the bridge corners off the rip-rap, the bridge pillars had some good keepers too.

Where are you going out of? The lake level is down and the water is clearing and warm. A month ago we were still catching them on shallow brush (dead wood). I know of some fish still coming off shallow brush.

When in doubt, go to Soldier Creek. You can start on the left side (west bank) where the no wake begins. Work the tires and docks going in. When you get to the marina, head to the east side and work your way out. There are some visible brush piles on the east point as you are headed out of Soldier.

We were there last weekend and saw bass chasing shad on Washita point. They were busting west of the two hazard bouys. Be careful while running that area. It is a big flat and there is a long shallow point that comes out a couple hundred yards west of the bouys that is not marked.

Let me know where take off is and I may have a few spots closer. Good Luck.

If you go around Grand Pappys and head south to the intake, there is a good ledge inside that cove. It is off the secondary point SW of the intake. I did not try the tire pattern but it can be good this time of year. A white jig, chatter bait or spinner bait worked INSIDE the tires.

Good luck.

Ended up 14th out of 28
8 anglers zero'd and 4 had 1 fish, I had 2 fish for 3lbs,

1st - 10.90 with 6.10 BB
2nd - 10.84
3rd - 10.7?

I had 2 keepers and 10-14 shorts. All my fish came from the 3 pockets East of Lowes mainly on the points. I could not locate any consistant bite on brush or docks.

From Friday through Sunday I spent time in Soldier Creek, Alberta Cove, Lowes, Pappy's, Little Mineral, Eisenhower bluff area, the 3 pockets East of Lowes and up river above 377 bridge.

Saturday on isolated cover above the bridge flipping jigs proved most productive but the bite was nbot there on Sunday so I moved to the pockets. The 15-20 MPH South wind on Sunday made for a fun ride in the new Triton.

Bummer on not finishing higher but it sounds like the fishing was tuff. Glad you were able to put some numbers on the board and make it back safe. Texoma is one of those lakes that I hate fishing in the wind.
