I fished a tournament here on 1/8/05. Brandy Branch is a power plant lake in east Texas with an abundance of hydrilla. Water was gin clear with tempatures ranging from 65-80 degrees. I caught a total of 18 fish. Most of them were under the 14" lenght but still fun to get bit. I boated and wieghed three fish over 14" and had another break off at the boat. I caught one fish on a 1/2oz red/orange rattle trap and the rest on pumpkin/chartruse lizard fished weightless and real slooooooooooooooooow. I ended up winning the tournament with a total weight of 8.55. This was the first time to fish Brandy Branch. It's certainly a lake I will return to during the cold weather periods. Dang'it Rudey,Greg and mike look like ooompa loompas from Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory up against Charles !!!!

Congrats on the 1st place Charles and congrats on catching some fish on a new lake. How far was it to the lake? I am not sure I ever heard of it but sounds like you got her figured out. Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish
