Toledo Bend Fishing Report
Mid Lake and South End
January,30 2006


Water Temp.~ 53* to 61*
Lake Level ~ 163.22
Generating 1 unit 6am-8am
all gates closed


BASS ~ Good. Early morning start with a drop shot with
a 4" cut tail worm in watermelon red or a cc 3/4 oz.
slab spoon in 25' to 35' of water. As day goes on move
up shallower in 6' to 10' of water with a small Wiggle
O' crank bait in red crawfish color. Also remember to
throw your Senko's in green pumpkin/watermelon and
junebug. Remember to spray all your baits with Kick N
Bass.

BREAM ~ Slow. On worms in 28' to 45' of water over
brush on main lake points.

CRAPPIE ~ Slow. Over brush in 28' to 40' of water on
the Tiny Ika rigged on a 1/16 oz. jig head in
watermelon or chartreuse. When bite slows switch to
shiners.

STRIPERS ~ Slow. Use electronics to locate bait fish.
Vertically jig a white or chartreuse slab spoon in
these areas.

CATFISH ~ Good. In 30' to 48' of water on blood bait
and liver over baited holes.

WHITEBASS ~ Are moving up river for annual spawn with
catches of 100+ common. Best baits are 1/4 oz. SY'S
hair jigs in brown/chartreuse and live crawfish. BOOK
