Night fishing is still good. We have been catching at least a 7 pounder almost every trip since the beginning of summer. Last trip, we got 2 eight pounders and watched a guy boat an 11 pounder. In the last couple of weeks we also boated a 10.89 and a 9.7 pounder. June was good and July is looking to be just as good.
The timing of the bite has been unpredictable. We have been catching between 16 and 36 fish per night, but you never know when the bite will come. Some evenings, the deep bite is good and we will catch several fish (mostly on crankbaits and swim baits) before it gets dark. After dark, dark colored crawworms and big worms have been best. Sometimes it is good right after dark and other times the bite is best at 4:00AM. The slowest time has predictably been around 2:00AM to 4:00AM, but that is also the time when we have caught our biggest fish. The most predictable bite has been the topwater bite. From about 5:45AM until 6:30AM, we have been averaging about 10 blow-ups and catching just over half of them per trip. The lilly pads on the main lake have been the best spots for me. The recent cold front shut down the topwater bite, but I don't expect that to change things for long. See our pictures at http://www.bassfishing.org/pictures/recent.htm

The lake is a couple of feet low and the grass is getting thick. There are places with good grass that were bare a month ago. There are tons of lilly pads. Water temps are in the 80's on most of the lake.
See www.basslogonline/fishingreport.cfm for a more detailed report on what and where the fish were caught. All my fish are recorded in the Basslog.

See my article on night fishing at http://www.bassfishing.org/LakeFork-Night-Fishing.htm I am offering night trips from 7:00PM to 7:00AM. See http://www.bassfishing.org/dbaccess/calendar.cfm to see what nights are available. I still have several openings in July and August. I will not be offering full day trips until the end of September. However, I will do 1/2 day evening and morning trips.
