Water temps are ranging from 80-85. The lake is at normal levels.
Most of the bass we are catching right now are coming off Bayou Bullfrogs in the heavy vegetation. I have been using dark colors on cloudy or low light times and light colors on bright days. Most of my frog fishing is coming from main lake areas.
We have also been using small 6 inch texas rigged V&M Porkpins in colors of red shad or red bug. A light weight anywhere from 1/16 to 1/8 oz. has been working well with this rig. Fish the river channel cuts on the upper end of the lake and the lay downs on the edge of the channel.
There has been some schooling activity across the main lake flats but has not been a consistent activity. When schooling most any topwater is working good and any type soft jerkbait in shad colors.
