Water temps are ranging from 71-79. The lake is at normal levels.
Bass fishing is good right now and should only get better with cooler temps on the way. There are some large schools of bass chasing shad right now with the many of the bass in or over the slot. Flukes, buzzbaits, and swimbaits seem to work best on the schooling bass. Fishing the edge and fishing over the heavy grass mats with frogs and jigs is still catching some nice bass too. There some schools of white bass roaming over the big lake along the state line around Big Green and Tar Island. Once located these are easily caught on chrome traps, blade baits, and most any topwater.
